Recipe: Smothered Pork Chops

Summary: Pork chops smothered with an onion gravy. And it’s pretty darn good, if you ask me. I had to throw in mushrooms just ’cause I really like mushrooms. But it was good that way and I think you’ll enjoy it too!

Ingredients

    • 4 thick bone-in center-cut pork chops
    • 8 ounces mushrooms, quartered
    • 1 onion, sliced or chopped
    • 2 C half & half
    • 1 C mushrooms
    • 1/4 C flour
    • 2 T butter
    • Olive oil
    • FOR THE DREDGE:
    • 1 C flour
    • 2 teaspoons onion powder
    • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
    • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt (like Lawry’s)
    • 2 teaspoons paprika
