Recipe: Bomb Pops
Summary: Their red, white, and blue layers on a stick make me think of those grassy summers where life was simple and towels were optional.
Ingredients
- Red:
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- 3 tablespoons lemonade or limeade
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup
- White:
- 6 ounces creamy vanilla yogurt
- 3 tablespoons lemonade or limeade
- Blue:
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ cup lemonade or limeade
- 2 teaspoons simple syrup
Instructions
- In a blender, blend together all red layer ingredients until smooth. Distribute evenly between six 5-ounce popsicle molds. Insert popsicle sticks, cover with foil to hold sticks in place, and freeze just until firm.
- Stir together yogurt and 3 tablespoons lemonade. Remove popsicles from the freezer, remove foil, and distribute evenly between the molds. Put the foil back in place, and freeze just until firm.
- Blend together blue layer ingredients in a blender until firm. Remove foil from the pops, distribute the blueberry mixture between the molds, replace the foil and freeze until firm or ready to eat.
