Bomb Pops


Recipe: Bomb Pops

Summary: Their red, white, and blue layers on a stick make me think of those grassy summers where life was simple and towels were optional.


  • Red:
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons lemonade or limeade
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup
  • White:
  • 6 ounces creamy vanilla yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons lemonade or limeade
  • Blue:
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ½ cup lemonade or limeade
  • 2 teaspoons simple syrup


  1. In a blender, blend together all red layer ingredients until smooth. Distribute evenly between six 5-ounce popsicle molds. Insert popsicle sticks, cover with foil to hold sticks in place, and freeze just until firm.
  2. Stir together yogurt and 3 tablespoons lemonade. Remove popsicles from the freezer, remove foil, and distribute evenly between the molds. Put the foil back in place, and freeze just until firm.
  3. Blend together blue layer ingredients in a blender until firm. Remove foil from the pops, distribute the blueberry mixture between the molds, replace the foil and freeze until firm or ready to eat.
