Salted Caramel Cupcakes


Recipe: Salted Caramel Cupcakes

Summary: Chocolate Cupcakes filled with homemade caramel sauce, topped with decadent vanilla buttercream and finished with a piece of salted caramel.


    • Homemade Caramel Sauce
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
    • 1/4 liquid cup water
    • 1/2 liquid cup heavy cream, heated until warm
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
    • ½ teaspoon fine grain sea salt
    • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • Vanilla Bean Caramels with Fleur de Sel
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 5 tbsp. unsalted butter
    • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
    • 1 vanilla bean pod, split lengthwise and scraped
    • 1¼ tsp. fleur de sel, plus more for sprinkling
    • 1½ cups sugar
    • ¼ cup light corn syrup
    • ¼ cup water
